- Though the band played at a quite unsexy mid afternoon slot, it didn’t take Veto long to show why they’re seen as one of the most talented Danish bands in a long time.

Starting with “Reset”, the band tore through 8 songs in 40 minutes, a perfect length for a band as relatively new, and a certain way in which to leave the audience wanting more. Singer Troels Abrahamsen is the absolute center of attention, leaving the spectator nothing but impressed of the ferociousness he puts into his performance.
Abrahamsen’s behavior does leave you wanting a bit more from the rest of the band though. Especially the lead guitarist seems like a fountain of potential, just waiting to burst out and give Abrahamsen some competition attention wise. All in all Veto master transferring their thoroughly produced synth rock into a perfect live sound. They’re playing without a backing track, and produced every sound onstage themselves. By the end, when Troels Abrahamsen conducted the audience’s applause towards another musical climax, it was clear they had conquered everyone. You can’t do better than that. |
