- From mighty wall-of-sound acid rock to cutting edge indie pop in a heartbeat.

Though the comperé had cheekily introduced the band as a bunch of people smoking too much weed, The Broken Beats quickly managed to show full control and no signs of haziness at all.
Centered around frontman Kim Munks multi layered master mind, the eight man band took to the stage with a mixture of lap steel, mandolin, vintage keyboards, congas, backing singers, and indie guitar. Creative use of effects and backing, makes the sound evolve from mighty wall-of-sound acid rock to cutting edge indie pop in a heartbeat. Sometimes on the verge of chaos, but always with enough control to constantly push thing forwards.
Germany has already taken to the band, and with the hit single “Essentials” on heavy rotation, the Broken Beats now seem to be ready for Denmark as well. Despite self conceited insecurities, they remain a perfect take on the pleasing British sounding pop music, as we know and like it. |
