Mads Langer - The enfant terrible of Danish singer/songwriting lived up to expectations Saturday night at Train.

Expectations were high, when Mads Langer entered Train Saturday night. Only 22 years old, Langer already has his solo album “Attention Please” out, and reportedly also a slot on A&R Worldwide radio tip sheet.
And Langer delivered a convincing performance Saturday night. The little man with the fantastic voice and the huge self-confidence lived up to the expectations. Langer’s highly emotional songs are kept at bay by his focused and intense performance, not to mention the experienced backing band adding great support to Langer’s emotional outbursts.
If Mads Langer failed to work up the audience, it might be due to the overly expressive, less enticing solo-performances intercepting the show, not matching the intensity of the orchestral backed performance. But overall Langer left the impression of a serious young artist and a great performer. |
