It was expected that the EPO-555 gig at Svalegangen on Saturday would be well-visited. On the other hand, not many people had expected the venue to be jam-packed before the concert had even begun.
Svalegangen is a theatre and not a concert venue, but the room turned out to be a great setting for EPO-555 that didn’t seem at all tired from travelling from South Germany. The set list primarily included songs off their latest album ”Mafia” – peaking with ”Hyperschlieb”, the best song on ”Mafia” but also the greatest success at the gig.
The packed venue and the energy level ensured a great live-experience and the only minor flaw was the constant comments to the sound guy about bad monitor sound. A part from that, everyone got a fantastic tour through the best songs off ”Mafia”, which – at the end of the year – should still be one of the best Danish albums of 2006. |
