Comprised of two Danish, one Norwegian, and three Swedish members, Sekten excel in a musical field of tension best described as avant-garde pop. Alternating between instrumentals and songs featuring two Swedish female singers, the band's varied compositions are characterized by a naive frailty mixed with piercing rock and playful arrangements.
