Frida Hyvönen is Sweden's new exponent of minimalist singer/songwriter. She has a strong and intimate voice, and her pure and fine-spun expression which at times consists solely of vocals and piano span from beautiful ballads to frustrated screams. Hyvönen's album debut from 2005 was well received in both Sweden and Norway.
