Singer/songwriter David Fridlund from Stockholm is the pivotal figure in Malmö-based David & The Citizens, who have played at all the major festivals in Sweden since 1999. The band’s English-language indie pop is a mind-blowing mix of swing, ska, boogie-woogie, waltz, and piano ballads. The Swedes played at SPOT 10 and visited Roskilde Festival in 2002.
